This presentation will explain what the open contracting data standard (OCDS) is, what are the benefits to local government of implementing OCDS, and what is the City of Portland planning to do with OCDS.
Gennie Nguyen
Gennie serves as the Social Equity Performance Manager. Gennie provides support across all city bureaus to analyze and report on their social equity performance on procurements and contracts. She works to push procurement reform efforts to be data-informed, results-driven, and people-centered. Gennie has worked in other public sectors including higher education and nonprofits, always focusing on overcoming injustice, institutional reform, and data.
Felix Penna
Félix Penna is the Senior Data Support Manager at the Open Contracting Partnership (OCP). In this role, he is responsible for assisting the organization's partners in adopting a data-driven approach to enhance public procurement outcomes. He provides guidance on collecting, structuring, and utilizing data to facilitate better decision-making and improve the user experience of procurement systems. Additionally, Félix advises OCP's partners on data digitization and publication.
